OLAJTERV signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Miskolc

2024. January 24.

OLAJTERV Engineering Co. Ltd. and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics of the University of Miskolc have signed a cooperation agreement for dual professional training. Within the framework of the agreement, OLAJTERV will provide practical training for students participating in the university's dual degree courses both on bachelor and master level in mechanical engineering, energetic engineering, computer engineering, technical management and electrical engineering.

Celebrating its 60th anniversary last year, OLAJTERV Engineering Co. Ltd. strives to pass on to future generations the design experience gained over decades in specific and exceptional environments (oil and gas, chemical and energy industries). It is a particular pleasure for the company's engineering team of more than 100 engineers to be able to demonstrate in detail the design process that precedes the practical work of an engineer to students in the framework of the training.

The relationship with the University of Miskolc goes back to an earlier stage, with OLAJTERV colleagues helping to teach the Industrial Investment Engineer specialisation as guest lecturers. They have also initiated a new, niche specialisation, the rotating machinery engineer course, in which they are collaborating with MOL and Petroszolg.

For several years, OLAJTERV has been cooperating with the Department of Civil and Mechanical Process Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics to create an electronic design repository for equipment design. Here, the design of the most common types of equipment is presented through the content of common design types in industry. In addition, online case presentations on welded structures are given to students.

We are also in the process of signing a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University for educational cooperation and cooperative training.

Last November, in the framework of the Cultural and Professional Days organised by the Szilárd Zielinski College of Civil Engineering, we organised a professional visit for BME students to the Danube Refinery in Százhalombatta. After the lecture of András Zoltán Proity (MOL Plc.) and Boglárka Szondi-Biczó (OLAJTERV Co. Ltd.), the participants had the opportunity to see a project under construction, which was designed by OLAJTERV engineers. After the day at the Refinery, the students requested an Open Day at OLAJTERV's headquarters in the spring semester, where they will have the opportunity to learn more about the engineering activities of OLAJTERV.
